I rented it last night & I'd just like to say that it's just a big disaster! A huge waste of money.

But I guess if you actually LIKE a 2 hour music video of crappy cover songs sung by people who THINK they sound good. (ie:Ewen McGreger or w/e) you'd enjoy it.

Just thought I could save yall some money & time. :rolleyes:

IT SUX!
They build the movie up like the whole thing is about this spectacular night club in France at the beginning of the century. When it's not about that at all! I rented it because it was the only thing "new" in video stores I haven't seen already. There might have been a couple parts that caught my interest, but most of it was just.......BORING! :zzz:

I'm not saying "DON'T GO SEE IT!" I was just really disappointed with what I saw. :rolleyes: Hell, don't take my word for it. See it for yourself. But if it sucks to you too, don't say I didn't warn ya! :p

Croc Dundee is cool. Paul Hogan is a cool dude :D Some people have said he looks like my dad a bit!!! :uhh: I think my dad's got more wrinkles though lol :p

It's Ewan McGregor's voice that sucks. Maybe the movie would've been half way decent if he didn't open his big yap tp belt out those notes. :uhh: His voice is horrible & nobody should sit through the torture of hearing such disturbing NOISE. My advice to Ewan would be to not sing in another movie EVER. I thought it would be a little cool since they were gonna sing cover songs from past decades. But they could of chosen BETTER songs than the ones they did.

I think yall were blinded by the lights & dancing to realize how HORRIBLE the actual movie & plot was! :p imo

I agree with u Nate about the plot:) It's actually a reworking of an old Greta Garbo film called Camille. The plots are almost identical expecpt for the singing and dancing:rolleyes: I really wish it would have been a better and fresher story. However, I loved Ewan and Nicole's singing! They were both fantastic. On the second disc in the DVD set, they have a video of the remixed song of Ewan singing "Come What May"...it's fantastic. So, if u loved the movie, get the DVD. If u haven't seen it, I say rent it;)

I like the end the best, when the croc catches the (not sure how to spell it at the moment) boo-key, and they take off their jacket's and the song "I come from a land down under" come's on.
I immediately went to my 'puter and downloaded the song.

Oh,thank GOD someone agrees with me!I thought I was the only one who didn't like that pathetic excuse for a musical movie.You don't get any cheesier than a bunch of songs from the 1970's and 80's in a movie set in 1800-something(although I have to admit the "Like a Virgin" cover was hilarious).The only good part was towards the end,when Satine found out she was dying.Up until then,there was no plot or story whatsoever.

I saw a tiny part of it (moulin rouge or whatever) and didn't wait for any more because I didn't like it. I'm not big on musicals anyway. It was too..I don't know..stupid? ;)

Musicals aren't my taste, so I thought many of the dancing was pointless. But that's what a musical is about: to show off a big dance production.

I understood the basic storyline. It was pretty good.

"Moulin Rouge" is only okay, primarily because I'm not a huge musical fan.

I have been told that the movie scenes move so fast you get confused so I did not see the movie. However, Nicole Kidman must have done one heck of "acting" because she got "Best Actress" award at the most recent "Golden Gloves" sponsored by the Foreign Press Assn.

I heard it sucked so i didnt rent it. I rent movies like every sat, and countless times i have thought of getting it but remebered what ppl told me. Yesturday I almost rented it!!
