View Full Version : Superbowl XXXVI - New England Patriots VS. The Rams - Your pick?
OK,
Who do you think is gonna win and who do you want to win?
I'm guessing probally that theres a better chance of The Rams, of course, but I'll be rooting for the Pats.
Make your bet.
And too, I love the Supabowl 'mercials :D
I think the Rams will win but I don't have a horse in the race so I don't really care who wins. But if I had to root for one, I guess I'd go with the Rams since I picked them to win. :smirk:
BTW, my team, the Carolina Panthers were 1-15 this year. Worst team in the league.
Superbowl? I'm only interested in who's gonna sing there! :D Sooo...??!
~Carol~
i grew up in CT so i have to say The Patriots:p

I'll be rooting for the Rams!!
The Rams players are the only NFL players I've ever met, plus their training camp is at my college!
I will be watchig the game very closely, because I really want the Rams to win.
Also, I LOVE to watch the TV commercials! They are the best and most unique of the year! :p
U2, Mariah Carey and several other artists will be singing during halftime. I think Mariah will be singing the national anthem too.

Rams :)
The Rams are probably going to win, But I have to pull for the Patriots, because thats my school mascot! :D :D :D
I only watch the Super Bowl for the commercials, my boyfriend and I went to the super bowl last year because it was here at our home stadium, and my dad was head of all the TV production for it, so I got in free side line seats, I'm not a football fan so I really didn't have a good time, But my boyfriend was in heaven!!....but oh well, at least I get to say I went to a Super Bowl.
It's the big day so I should bump this up to the top.
not a big football fan but i'll say patriots

Very true Ben! I'm all with the theory soccer should be called football, and as Shania put it, American football should be called "Macho guys throwing other macho guys around". :funny: LOL I'm sure she got a couple people a little peeved by saying that! LOL But I'll have to say the Rams cuz some girl over in the Terri Clark forum loves them to death, so I'll root for them. LOL Interesting explanation, eh? LOL

I can't even comment on how AWSOME this game was. The Patriots defense was VICIOUS, man, and I must say, the Rams did a good job of coming back for almost a tie. This is the most awsome Superbowl I've ever seen.

Well, like I've said before, the Rams are either hot or cold, and they were COLD tonight!
Warner got tackled & sacked I don't know how many times.
They were starting comeback at the end of the game, but it was just too late.
Oh man, when Warner was like 2 inches from a touchdown and fumbled I almost s*it my pants! The Patriots ran that ball all the way to the other end of the field!
Thankfully, the refs had a flag and the touchdown wasn't allowed. Man!
I seriously thought the game would go into overtime.
I must admit the Patriots played a hell of a game!
Even though I was rooting for the Rams I thought to myself, "If the Rams can't play better than this in the Superbowl, they don't deserve to win".
I agree with Marine, it was an awesome game!

Perhaps along your path toward law enforcement you might want to take a hack at straightening out those commentators on Monday Night Football games? :supwink: :supwink: :supwink: :supwink: :supwink: P.S. Couldn't agree more with you on your game comments!

Sweet.
My favortite one was where the Budweiser Clydesdales, you know them right? Anyway, they start out of a small team in the morning, they go through a small town, then they go through the country, then they crossed the New York bridge, and before they get into New York theres an open spot, and they stop. They all bow their heads and kneal, and the angle they took it at, you could see in the background that the towers weren't there, like a flat line, and the horses relized that. I held my breath.
On a funnier note, (Budweiser)
2 guys were at a bar and the one guy was complaining to his buddy that he couldn't pick up chicks, so his buddy says here, try this: [the guys is telling his buddy what to say step by step] Say, "Hi, I'm Paul, you have beautiful eyes" - he repeats what his buddy says "Hi, I'm Paul you have beautiful eyes" and right then she says "Wanna go somewhere?..." and the bartender gives the guys buddy a beer and he says "How much?" and of course, Paul repeated. He got slapped in the face :funny:
It's hard to explain some...they were good, heh.
Oh, and I was quite dis-appointed with the Britney/Pepsi commercials.

   the Patriots
I found the Yahoo comercial with the Guy and the dolphin in the water (near a tropical island) kinda funny. :smirk:
One note about the game... did anyone else notice that there should have been 2 seconds on the clock after the game-winning field goal? That would only give the Rams a shot to do something on the kickoff but it would have given them a sliver of hope.

I told ya take the Pats and the points!:p

I wish... :funny: :greedy: :greedy:
That's about all you could wish for with 2 seconds, but sometimes crazy things happen on those last-chance plays where they throw about 10 latterals. :p
