NHL players are competing in the Olympics. It should be a great tournament. Any one of Canada, U.S, Russia, Czech. Republic, Finland or Sweden could win it.

Dave, according to Olympics.com, the final game in the women's hockey will be played Thursday (2/21). I guess it depends on how the US and Canada fare in their other games to determine when the two teams meet.

I started watching the game last night at work,but it was only starting the 2nd period,then I got off of work...I called home and got my mom to put a blank tape in to tape the rest of the game to so I could watch it when I got home!!!I went right to the hockey game in town(Jr.A)! and they were announcing the score there!! i didnt' want to know,but I couldn't cover my ears good enough..lol!!

:p LOL. The Canadians have the Americans exactly where they want them - overconfident.
The American forwards worry me. They are a lot faster than the Canadian defence. However, I'm not impressed with the American defence or goaltending. It should be a great game!

i think theyre pretty neck in neck :uhh: i hope canada wins though of course!! in any event canada will have a total of 17 medals tomorrow for the end of the 19h Winter Olympics :D

The thing is, there's pressure on both teams. Canada- to win the first gold in 50 years. USA- to win on home soil.
It's gonna be a great game! Richter was amazing against Russia. Canada's doesn't have the strongest goaltending, I'll admit. I'm so mad at Roy. He's so selfish. He didn't go to the Olympics because he wanted to concentrate on the playoffs. :rolleyes: :shocked: Excuse me, I think representing your country is a little more important than the Stanley cup IMO. Well, the goalie we have will do a better job than him cuz they actually WANT to be there. :p
