Medals
US: 34
Canada: 17

You do the math. :p

Just messing, the Canadian hockey team played a lot better than the US today. They picked a good time to get their act together after losing a game earlier in the Olympics.

Look! I'm going to post and not get mad people are jokingly making fun of Canada! :funny: There's no reason to get mad cuz we're all joking around! Teehee I'm so proud of myself I'm not getting mad.
USA must be sorta mad we beat them in both mens and womens. I hate to say it but we outplayed them definately in the mens, and 4 on 5 in the womens, as Cassie said. :) But you know what? It may be our national sport, but that doesn't mean other countries aren't good at it. There's a lot of great countries around the world who could have won the gold, but it was Canada's turn this time. And I'd have to say- hockey means more to Canada than almost anything, and hockey in Canada is more important to Canadians than hockey in any other country! GO CANADA!

Keep in mind, you have 280 000 000 people to get your athletes from. We only have around 33 000 000. So, in Canada, that's on medal for every 0.000000515 people in Canada, and one for every 0.000000121 people in the US. :p So we technically have more medals per capita. :p :p :p

But a larger percent of Canadian residents either participate in, or have access to "winter sports." As I roll down the street today with the top down on my jeep, on a 70 degree day, the last thing I'm thinking about is a winter sport. :p Unless it's an indoor sport, not many people around this area or most other areas of the nation are participating in it.

It's snowing out now. I wish it was 70 degrees here, well that would actually be like 20 degrees celcius.

I like what Dave [Letterman] said about the medal counts last week...

The free world: 200-something
The axis of evil: 0

OMG! You shoulda heard the screaming and cheering going on in this house during the two hockey finals! :D :D :D I don't care how many medals we won as long as we got the hockey ones! Yipee! :D

Not knocking the Americans, but our TV station scanned the audience right after the women's victory and you never saw so many angry American faces in one place! It was so funny! :funny: :funny: :funny:

Dang, I'm proud to be a Canadian! :D :D :D

Monica XOX Lots of Americans that attend Olympic hockey games are rich snobs and I could see how they might take the US loss - for the average US citizen we didn't really give a damn - all we care about is women, baseball, football and basketball etc. - most of us can't even spell hocky - so don't judge America by those yo-yo's you observed on television!!!!!! JMHFO j/k a tad!!!!!:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

LMAO Dave! :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny: :funny:

Bob:

Don't worry! I know that not all Americans are like that! It was just this one group of people who had there faces painted with American flags and they looked so angry! It was hillarious with the paint and all! :supwink:
