Our Cincinnati International Airport is actually in Boone County Kentucky - about 10 miles South of downtown Cincinnati - we have two small commuter airports that service Cincinnati, one in town on the east side and one just north of the city in Blue Ash. They both take small private prop planes and corporate jets.
The main airport is a hub for Delta and they are the largest carrier there.
The airport is not that old and has been modernized and added to several times over the years ithat I have been in Cinci. (25 years or so.)
It is connected to Cincinnati via a couple of interstate highways and many people on my side of town use a water ferry still, as it is shorter distance-wise and eliminates all the traffic from the interstate highway systems.
So what's yours like?

Uhh... it's called Pearson International Airport... And planes come to it.... And there's a hotel near it where you can stay if you have to catch an early flight... And I've been there 3 times.... Sorry! I don't know much about my airport! I think it's little code thing is YYZ. And thousands of passengers were re-directed here after what happened on 9/11.

Well, the town that I live in is actually considered a village, so we don't have an airport. :p We don't even have a stop light! :funny:
The closest airport to me is the Quincy airport, which isn't a huge airport. Only small planes fly in. I've never actually been to the Quincy airport, so I can't give you to much detail.
The closest major airport is Lambert International in St. Louis.

haha woot Pearson! Yeah the code is YYZ. The one thing that kinda bugs me about it though is there's so much space but there's practically nothing to do there. Barcelona has such a nice airport! There's actually a full mall in there.

haha woot Pearson! Yeah the code is YYZ.
It's also the name of an instrumental song off the album "Moving Pictures" (Mercury Records 1981) by Canada's finest rock band - Rush.
"It's always a happy day when YYZ appears on our luggage tags!" - Neil Peart
John - ;)
Thanks for the info John.

Well theres the Muni and nobody is sure if that should be an airport or not any more. It was at one time the biggest and busiest airport in the world. Edmonton is the only city of its size to have a major airport downtown. It was the first licenced airport in Canada and has been a huge part of the Aviation history of the country. Pilots like Wop May have flown out of the airport who was a world war one flying ace. He was also considered a hero for his part in the Race Against Death. Wop flew 661 kilometers to Fort Vermilion after an out break of diptheria broke out in the small Alberta town. May flew in an open air cockpit in -40 degree weather to deliever inoculations and save the people there from the outbreak. He almost ran out of gas nearing Peace River and was flying on fumes. He kept the inoculations in his crotch to prevent it from freezing because of the extreme cold weather. He left January 1st, 1928 and returned to Edmonton on the 7th as a hero and to a crowd of hundreds.
Theres the International which is the fastest growing airport in Canada and they just annouced expansion because it is quickly running out of room.
