Speaking of belly buttons, which I like to do a lot - have you seen the Clint Black video "Money or Love" now playing repeatedly on GAC? The song is from his greatest hits II collection I believe - I do not know the age of the video but I believe it is relatively new.

My point in mentioning it is that I have not seen a video ever on country music video cable stations that shows so many belly buttons on so many dancers and so much shaking of booties etc. Even I get overloaded watching this travesty - absolutely pathetic attempt to sell his music with sex!!! JMHO

Just because somebody shows a little skin, doesn't mean they are not talented. Take for instance Shania, she shows skin. . but yet her talent is not overshadowed by her sexiness. I think it's perfectly fine to be sexy and show some skin, but the trick is NOT to be ****ty! :scowl:

Yeah, I've seen the new Clint Black video and I think he's just trying to get a "younger look". Country music is becoming more "young at heart", so I think he's just trying to fit in. ;)

Well, I know sex DOES sell... *cough, BRITNEY, cough*- I say Britney cause half the people I know buy her albums cause she looks good (obviously guys, lol!!)

But, I'm not turned on by all that... If I like the song I'll look further. I didn't know Joe Don Rooney (Rascal Flatts) was a cutie until I heard "Prayin For Daylight". Then I saw the video and I was like, whoaa! But, I like Rascal Flatts cause of their music and because they put on a great concert... not because Joe Don looks good...

So, in a nutshell, sex doesn't sell for me, but it does for lots of other people! :)

For people like Britney, Shakira, Enrique... sex is a LOT of it! It's good when you have an artist like Shania or Faith who obvious has a lot of talent, but the sexiness of them just adds to their appeal, not overtakes it. For some other artists... sex definately sells more then their music. Like when the instruments and voice are computers... :rolleyes:

I usally start to think people are sexy after I've started to like thier music. Shakira, The Corrs, Dido and Jewel all the same I started likeing the songs before I liked them as good looking women.

Good music is part of the appeal of a great looking singer ;)

But seriously ... Shania's :angel: sex appeal ceartainly helps sell her records ... because people buy what they like, and that's what sells ... some like what they hear, some like what they see, some like what they've heard about her ... me, I like all of these when it comes to Shania :angel: .

Meanwhile, there are people who buy Willie Nelson records, but that's a different story entirely.
