I'm not a car expert. Give me a car with a radio, perhaps a tape or cd player, automatic windows, and I'm happy.
I guess, like just about any girl, I'd like a mustang convertable (MAN THOSE THINGS ARE HOT!) And I also like trucks. My dad just got a Ford F150 02' and it is a thing of beauty.

There's nothing like escaping the city, rolling down the road with the top down, catching some rays.

Navigators sucks. They're big, clumbsy, no real off-road capabilities and theres already enough SUVs out there like them.
Nissans, Nissans are good.
Well, since you did say 'car'... I'll say "The General Lee", an Orange 1969 Dodge Charger. Kick-@ss car.
For trucks, well...I'll say a 1997 Chevy K-3500 Crew Cab, 4x4, 454 Eldelbrock crate motor (custom), Goodyear GSA's, Sunset gold Metallic for paint. More of a dream truck, heh.
For other trucks, anything out of "Twister", in Jo's gang, not Jonis's.
And an old Jeep Willys. Do anything right-out-of-the-box! :D
And Hummers, another kick-azz SUV...well, it's in a class of its own.
Impalas' don't get me started, I love just about any Impala, I love the 60's ones the best, Bel-Airs, Nomads, Chevelles, Camaros, Corvettes, Novas, Yenko Novas, just about any old muscle car from the 60's and 70's I love, back when -REAL- cars were made.

Well, you see, in Toronto, we have these things called
p-a-v-e-d r-o-a-d-s, so we don't really need off-road capabilities. :p

Oh yeah, I wouldn't take one of those very far off the main roads.. lol. It's more of a big luxury SUV, something with all the features, something to drive around town.

Someone once said that Hondas were the most dispised vehicles on the road. The same person said that Nissans are good vehicles.
It is clear that this bumpkin has no clue what they are talking about.
With that said, my favorite vehicle is not a car, but an SUV. I simply adore the 2002 Jeep Liberty based on design.
Other than that if it has the Honda name and logo on it, it must be damn good. (e.g.: a 2001 or 2002 CR-V) It is a well known fact that Honda makes awesome vehicles that outlast many other vehicles out there. Not to mention they have a better trade-in-value. Of course, this all depends on how well you care for your vehicles.

That's just my personal opinion that Hondas suck. You don't have to take it personal, ya know. Keep your pants on for Gods sakes =P
You have no idea how much Chevys get dissed, beleive me.
And are you referring to me when you say 'It is clear that this bumpkin has no clue what they are talking about.' ?
I am a bumpkin be that as it may, but I do know what I am talking about, somewhat. On the other hand, I know more about real 4x4s rather than ricer-4wheelers...

CR-V's I suppose aren't that bad, I've seen them do somewhat ok in Four-Wheeler...although a jeep was in the comparison with them and the Jeep won =P [over the Honda]

72 Jeep CJ 304 V8 (The Beast) no roof or Doors its in my back yard awaiting CPR (new Battery) Has gone through 4ft snow drifts and 2ft mud holes with little trouble. Mostly stock. 32 inch tires
91 Jeep Wrangler (stock 4.0 litre )with over 300,000 miles on it ....yes it is my daily driver.
My Suburban which tows my 72 "Beast Jeep" to the distant trails in other states.
Cars are nice but I can drive with the top down to the market on paved roads and out in the trails to the best secluded fishing holes. And no you can't stop on a dime in the snow with 4wheel Drive + anti lock brakes.... you can get better handling/control in the snow and shorten the stopping distance though.
Ode To a Jeep
"Stopped in the Weeds on a Snowy Evening"
Whose woods these are I think I know
His house is in the city, so
There's not a soul for miles to hear
Me yell, or give my car a tow.
My old jalopy sure is queer;
It does this several times a year.
In weather mans not fit to take.
An Eskimo would freeze out here
I'd give the ******* car a shake
But with its luck the springs would break
I never shoudl have been so cheap;
I could've bought another make.
The woods are dark, the hills are steep.
By morning I'll be three feet deep.
I wish to God I'd bought a Jeep.
I wish to God I'd bought a Jeep.

Bob- is that due to the Jeeps or the War in general?
Were the Jeeps you drove in Nam (M-38A1)'s ?

The jeeps were your standard issue small open type - I don't know their nomenclature - I was with the US Army Public Information Office in Long Binh during part of '67 and '68 and the Tet offensive - I was an Information Specialist and worked on the daily Army press release and we routinely delivered the releases all over Saigon on a daily basis.
I guess I associate the word jeep with Nam!
All that good talk about Jeeps and then I find this article today: Jeep Recalls 1.1 Million SUVs for Engine Problem (http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20020416/ts_nm/autos_recall_dc_3) Supposedly the engine could be a fire hazzard but the problem can be easily fixed, says the article. Oh well.

I drove a Mustang Convertible GT for quite some time and I wasn't all that impressed with it. My dad is a Ford man so that's why I got it:funny: I think that as a vehicle it's basically just a show piece. I actually love Lexus:D My mom has a 2000 and the ride is so smooth. Love it:p

I learned about cars from reading car Traders/ Heavy Truck and Equipment Traders from a kid, (and other car mags), I 'read' them before I could read, and when I did learn (4), I learned a lot about cars, truck, equipment, everything in those books. I can spot out a car and tell you what it is 3/4'th mile away.
And my dad taught me a lot, too, since he was sort of a vehicle hustler, he bought them, fixed them up, and sold them. He's probally had around over 70 vehicles in his lifetime.
There. Does that answer your question? =P

OMG, this is soo the topic for my dad, lol! He LOVES old cars (he has a 1975 Imperial right now) and I've spent a lot of my life around cars and going to car shows (boring!!!!!!!!). Last year, my mom finally got a car that isn't like, 20 years old, lol!! It's pitiful. And my dad and my uncles are totally into Chrysler cars so it's the only type of cars I'd ever buy :)
There's only ONE old car I like and that's a lime green Dodge Charger- I don't care what year, lol!! And I love Chrysler Sebrings and the Dodge Durangos...
My first car will be a Dodge Neon :) I don't care if they're pieces of junk, they're cute, lol! :)
