Do Italian gondola operators prey on foreign female tourists any more than others of their type?

Out of the gutter and into the canal.

It's not only Kandahari erotic water women need to watch out for but
also those young gondola ride operators in the Grand Canal of Venice.
They have formed together in a professional band of "women hunters",
wooing foreign women with the final purpose being sex. They signal
each other by cell phone if they see a group of attractive women
approaching and they also use cell phones to boast of their conquests
to other gondola operators.

A code of honor?

Claiming to now be a professional organization they have developed a
code of honor prohibiting members from, for example, doing anything to
break up a couple.

And the rulebook contains tips. For example it says that Anglo-Saxon
women, especially, for some reason, Australians and Canadians, will
usually give in after just one romantic dinner or a gondola ride.
Latin women will succumb only after at least three dinners.

I guess the moral of this thread is directed to the girls and ladies - do not men take advantage of you, especially Italian gondola operators (unless you want to be taken advantage of!):)

I would also suggest the authorities look into the backgrounds of these operators for possible terrorist connections!
