CDJ signs on for Jackson tour
-- Carolyn Dawn Johnson has just been tapped as an opener for the Alan Jackson tour. She will appear on Jackson's dates beginning May 8.
"I have been a big fan of Alan's music since the beginning of his career. He is one of the reasons I set a goal to be signed with Arista Records. It is truly an honor for me to open for him," says Johnson.
CDJ is also scheduled to perform at Fan Fair 2002 in June.
I saw CDJ last year on the Girls Night Out Tour. Remember, she used to be Martina's back-up singer. With no money for a bus of her own, she settled for a bunk on Martina's. Bet things will be different this year. On the last night of the tour, Martina surprised her onstage and sang with her. CDJ was so overwhelmed, she cried. :)
