Just wanted a gumble...

Next week I was supposed to be moving into a new house I was buying, everything had been sorted and all we had to do was exchange contracts and the house would have been mine. Then i get a phone call from the estate agents earlier today to tell me that the guy who was selling the house has changed his mind. This is after I've paid about £250 (that isnt counting the rest of the solicitor's fees) to get all the necessary checks done. And the most annoying thing about it all is that by law there's nothing I can do about it because he isnt legally obliged to go through with it until the contracts are signed, which doesnt happen till everything else is completed..

So I'm less than happy atm.. :mad:

I'm sorry to hear that. :(

Everything happens for a reason, you might find an even better house next week! ;)

True.. Just annoying at having paid all that money for nothing..
£250 is a lot of money when you dont have much of it in the first place... :sad:

That's horrible! I'm sure you'll find a better house AND a better person to deal with though- good luck!!

Well I'm looking for another house at the moment. I already have the loan from the bank sorted out so provided my house costs the same or less than the other one them I'm fine. Will just be a while longer before I can move out of where I am now...
