After much taunting, head rep Luke Lewis of Mercury Records has revealed to countrystars.com that he has heard much of Shania's much-anticipated upcoming cd. He even claims that it is "very much stronger" than Come On Over. That's a good sign...now if it will just be released!

If you're a soap fan,you might want to tune in to General Hospital from time to time. "You've Got A Way" has been played on there as background music very frequently lately.

When Shania Twain’s second album, THE WOMAN IN ME was approaching 10 million in sales, she told me she thought that she and husband/producer Robert Mutt Lange could top that success with the third album they were working on at the time. Of course, COME ON OVER has since blown off the doors of that first album with its double-diamond sales. So, when word comes from Shania’s camp that she and Mutt Lange are determined to top themselves again you have to pay attention. Mercury Nashville’s top executive, Luke Lewis, tells us he’s heard a good portion of what they’ve recorded so far for the new album and says what he’s heard so far is stronger than what she’s done before. Scary thought. Twain and Lange are still working on the album and should have enough material to release on one disc, what would normally be a double disc CD release. "I told Mutt, ‘Why don’t you fill up all 74 minutes of the CD for added value?’" That could amount to 20 some tracks on Twain’s fourth CD. RELEASE NOT SET - Lewis says the target date to release the album is sometime in September but emphasizes that no date is at all certain at this point. "Shania and Mutt won’t deliver the album until they’re sure they have topped themselves, so it could be Fall or Christmas or some other date."

Those are not the same exact words that are quoted Webber - also there is additional info provided by Lady Laina's e - newsletter.

Hm... I think that maybe Shania strengthens her voice so she sounds more like Martina? God, I HATE that! Faith's tried it and it's no good!!! I hope Shania doesn't try!! I love her voice but NO ONE can do Martina! :)

Well if it would be a worldwide release, we would get it first. In Europe they release new albums on Monday, in USA the release date for new albums is Tuesday. ;)

Come On Over was simply perfect! I love each and every song on it, and it don't think there's any room for improvement!

But hey, we can always count on Mutt to use his magic, and craft an even better album ;)

:uhh: Unfortunately, it's not true. Top COO?? I don't think so. COO was lighthearted and fun, thus, the extreme sales. A stronger album wouldn't sell nearly as well... not as much commercial appeal. If it were true that Lewis had heard much of the album, that means the album would be near finished and would almost be ready for release. I believe the claims are false, I don't believe Shania has a new album. I don't believe she's anywhere near completion. I don't think she's even started yet. And I don't think Shania Twain is coming back, but time will tell, I suppose. :cry:

What is so weird about it, Vega?? Alot of the things I say, I say especially to get Shania Twain's attention. That's right. I want Shania's attention. She just made a Lea & Perrins commercial that I asked her too, I think it's her... looks like her.

I know, if I can't be kind, at least be vague... But I can be kind and I don't like hiding things... So Shania, wherever you are, if you like me and we are friends, then you need to come out and let people know it. And if not, then there is really nothing to talk about... is there??
