Thanks Bob. :)
I thought AJ would get best male, especially after his "Where were you when the world stopped turning" song.
I thought he might get songwriter of the year too, did he? Anybody know? :uhh:
I'm glad Martina won best female, she deserves it! :)
B&D pretty much stole the show...literally /me chuckles

I saw Jo Dee performance and liked it, especially when she walked through the rain. I can't believe she did that! But it was cool. I like her hair and style much better now.

Well I didn't get to see much of the show last night. My friend Jennifer decided she was going to have a baby last night. lol
I saw a few performances, but not many. First of all let me say that Martina winning Female Vocalist was long overdue and totally deserving. Martina is the best, plain and simple. I thought her performance was awesome. Not the best I've seen by her, but still awesome. I think she looked amazing! I'm not a big fan of red, but she looked fantastic in that dress. I loved the hair, the makeup, everything. I loved Martina's acceptance speech for winning! Martina loves her some Reba! :D The best part of her speech was the way she was thanking everyone, then she says "...THE FANS..." I love that woman! I'm glad the ACM's are finally giving awards to REAL talent and not the bubble gum crap they've given it to the past 3 years. :D
I missed seeing Mark Wills present, but I saw a picture. He looked hot, as usual. I also missed CDJ's acceptance for Top New Female. I would've loved to see that. She's amazing. I'm SO happy she won. I just wish she could've performed. How awesome is it that my 2 top favorite female's won Top and Top New Female last night? :D
One of the performances I happen to see was the Kid Rock / Hank Jr one. I was somewhat less than impressed. That performance was crap. Plain and simple. I like Kid Rock, but not that much. If ya can't say the "f" word, how come you can say the "b" word? I'm surprised CBS allowed that. I didn't hear that because we were all talking in the waiting room, but I heard they said it.
LMAO @ Reba making fun of Pam Anderson's "boobs." hahahahahaha :funny: Oh, I heard from someone that Pam was less than amused w/ those cracks from Reba.
I also saw Lee Ann Womack's and Willie's performance, only theirs was muted. I was in Jenn's hospital room when they were on and the volume wasn't on. From what I've heard about the performance, I'm kinda glad the volume wasn't on.
Keith Urban looked like crap. I love him to death, but that outfit was TERRIBLE. Yuck!
I think Travis Tritt's performance was one of the BEST all night. That man is awesome! True talent. I'm not a huge fan, but he is just great. An all-around fantastic person. I think he deserved the Top Male Vocalist Award more than Alan did, but that's JMO. :)
Alabama did a great job. I didn't care for that song too much, but they are a legend, so I was just in awe watching them. Kudo's. Too bad they're having a farewell tour next year. They will be missed.
I saw and heard Tim's performance, but I can't remember much about it because of the commotion in the waiting room. He sang his new single, and one of my favorites from his current CD. I do remember him sounding a bit ... off? I'm wondering if he was sick. :( Anyway, I still love that song.
Last but not least, Reba. Can we say AWESOME? She is a true class-act. I was VERY impressed with her hosting job. I have a greater respect for her now. She's amazing. I LOVED how she intro'ed Martina. The admiration she has for Martina is grand. And the feeling from Martina is mutual.
I was torn for who I wanted to win top new male vocalist. I like all the nominees, but I guess the right person won. Phil's had more success than the other two.
I can't remember any other performances I saw ...
Ok - I'm sure you'll see I edited my post. I wanted to give my full review of the stuff I saw.
My goodness....now that's a review, heh...
I thought it was funny just before Hank Jr. and K.R. was about to do that song, she said, "Quick! Someone put their hands over Billy Gilmans ears!"

The only part of the award show that I got to see today was when Reba made the joke about Pamela. They showed it on Access Hollywood. :p
Yeah, Pamela looked shocked when Reba said that, but then she started laughing probably not to make her look like an idiot. I think she laughed out of embarrassment. :smirk:

They were great!!!! The only performance I didn't care for was Hank Williams Jr and Kid Rocks! I didn't care for it at all! The rest was great!! I was screaming when MARTINA WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) :) :) :) Reba did an EXCELLENT job as host and Mr. SEXY Tim McGraw was SEXY and hotttttttttttttt as ever! My mom and I were sweatin':p :D:D:D:D
Well, I havenīt seen the show, but I am so excited that Martina won!! This was her first ACM Award and way overdue.
I am also happy that CDJ and Trick Pony won. I hope they can make it big.
I only saw a small pic of Toby Keith, has he been eating well, or did the picture lie?
I hear they showed too much of Tim and Faith. Well, atleast they didnīt give any of the awards to them this time. It would have embarrasing cause theyīve already had too many they didnīt deserve. This year the awards went to those who actually deserved them, not who is most hyped. I am glad about that.
Oh, donīt jump at me, I was only meaning that the awards each year should go to persons who really deserve it that particular year. Faith and Tim just seemed like they became the automatic recipients of these awards..
Next year, with all new cds out from Shania, Faith, Martina, JoDee, Sara (?), and who else; weīre gonna see an exciting race for the Female Vocalist of the Year in both ACM and CMA.
I wish there would be more info of the timeframe each award is concidered. For the ACM was it the whole of last year? The calendar year 2001?
What about the CMA? I know it starts in the middle of the year, but anyone know what is the timeframe?

I watched part of it on CMT. I thought the camera stayed on a certain twosome too much though. From what I saw Reba did a good job.:)
