Dixie Chicks Deliver New Monument Single www.rronline.com

In an unexpected move, The Dixie Chicks' new Monument single has been delivered to radio by Sony Music/Nashville. The new track, "Long Time Gone," was digitally delivered by DG Systems, beginning Thursday at 5pm ET, just hours before the trio debuted the song live on VH1's Divas Las Vegas. Nashville songwriter Darrell Scott is one of the writers on the song that will be the first single from the Chicks' upcoming album. The arrival of the new single apparently signals a close to the Chicks' legal battle with Sony Music over royalties from the group's two previous Monument albums, Wide Open Spaces and Fly, which have sold a combined total of more than 20 million copies. Monument has set a tentative release date of Aug. 27 for the Chicks' new album, to be titled Home.

what a coincidence it was that all the big names were on a break at the same time.. competition will be fierce once everyone is back. Should make the award shows interesting, and the charts.
Country music will be back with a bang I guess.

I have not heard Chicksī new song, but I donīt much care for bluegrass, so I have reservations, sorry to say. But I will wait till I hear the song myself to judge it.

Glad to see the Chicks are back, but I think the bluegrass will lose some listeners, but also will gain. I see a good, but not the chick-usual, 6 million sales of this new album. Don't care for the song at all.:smirk:

Natalie has to lose some serious poundage or wear a muumuu - she looked awful in the outfit she chose for the Elvis song on Divas Live - I was shocked and it takes a lot to shock me!:shocked: :shocked: :shocked: :shocked: :shocked: :shocked: :shocked:

DITTO! and what's scary is that she looks A LOT better poundage wise (haha that sounds so cool!). The outfit was WAY too low...eww:shocked:
