i just found out Alabama is going to retire
man they have some great songs like 40 hour week :)
yea...they announced it on the ACM's last wednesday :(

I've never even seen them in concert! :( I sure hope I can see them on their last tour! :)
I was sad to hear they're retiring, but I guess they can't sing forever! :sad: They make such beautiful music together. :sad:
I don't know many bands that have managed to stay together as long as they have. . . . . and still get along! :p

I love Alabama and like many millions of fans I was so very shocked to hear that. I hope I get to see them on last time before they are done. :)

Besides, it's much more humane than poison.

May 22, 2002: Alabama is going off the road. The band made the annoucnement Wednesday during the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Lead singer Randy Owen said, "While we still love one another, next year will be our farewell tour."
In a press statement, "We've decided it's time to plan our farewell tour," said Randy Owen, "and hopefully take it coast to coast to reach all the fans that have been there for us the past 25 years. This farewell tour will be a blast from sea to shining sea!"
No further details could were announced, including when the tour would start.

i heard on the radio that they are only retiring from touring
and they have another country albulm comming and a bluegrass and gospel :)
