WinZip

Can someone tell me about free download of WinZip programs?

I was told I could do this at www.download.com but it seems the programs cost from $29 to $49 or so and some are available on a trial basis free - do you know how this trial basis works?

Does it matter if it's WinZip? I use ZipIt Fast and I like it. Here's the link:

I use a program called WinRAR (http://download.com.com/3000-2250-10111782.html?tag=lst-0-1) to handle all my archive files like .zip, .rar, etc. There is a 40 trial period but after that time the program still works.

I have no clue what you would do with a Mime file... maybe Phil knows something about this.
