Wow, me buying a Martina CD managed its own thread! :)
I've nearly finished listening to it now. Safe In The Arms Of Love and Where Would You Be are my favourites so far. :D

I haven't heard so much of Martina's music but i like to explore new music and artists so maybe I'll listen to it some day :)

Martina is wonderful artist :)
There are many people who like both Shania and Martina. I think it is cool if some new people also get know this wonderful artist.
This is a music forum where we discuss other artists besides Shania. There are so many wonderful artists out there. Music makes us so much richer. I have "all time favourites" and then when I hear a new cd from some new artist, I get all excited about that artist, atleast for a while..
Eventually I will turn to those who are the most lasting, the top 5 favourites maybe..
I hope many of you will find Martina to be in their future top 5 or whatnot. She is an artist with the most powerful voice, most of her songs have such an important message too.
Actually it is funny that Martina should be in my all time favourites, because I like mostly uptempo country music. But we cannot ever tell what makes us like certain things I guess.
I was first introduced to country music by Shania, then the next country cd I got was Martina´s based on a recommendation by Amazon.com and a few CMA appearances.. Two very different artist, who have stuck on me from the start. I thank both of them from the bottom of my heart for their wonderful music and all the inspiration, not to mention friends through the boards, they have given me.
Enjoy the music of Martina, you 'new' fans!

I was the same many Years ago before 1999 I had only liked One singer and played her music Day and Night. But after 1999 I am playing everything:)

I'm not just talking about different artists from the same music genre, but about different types of music as well.
Who would've thought 4 years ago that me, the biggest rock and hip-hop fan would get into country music?
Sure, Shania ain't country in the traditional meaning of the word, but she has definitely broadened my horizons, and opened my eyes to a different type of music.
What I'm saying is, not only is it okay, but it's even great to like very different types of music!
