I'm kinda' used to people making fun of me because I like Shania on the one hand, and for other people making fun of me for liking metal, hip-hop and rap, on the other.

I just like the diversity, and I think it's completely legitimate to enjoy all of the worlds :)

I know! I hate all this "You like Shania = you like country" stuff. I like Shania, I like a few country artists as well, but that doesn't mean I like it. My heart is really in rock music- like Goo Goo Dolls, U2, Linkin Park, etc. I like a little hip-hop and rap too. After that would probably be pop. But like you said, Shania, Terri and Martina are as close to country as I get as well. ;)
