Hey everyone! Please forgive me if this has been done before but I've never seen it since I've joined and thought it would be a great poll!
So tell me what is your favourite Shania special! There are only 4 choices!
1. DIRECT TV SPECIAL (aka SHANIA LIVE) - Dallas 1998
2. WINTER BREAK SPECIAL - Miami 1999
3. COME ON OVER SPECIAL - Dallas 1999
4. TOP OF THE POPS 2 SPECIAL - UK 1999
So everyone, please cast your votes!

And also let us all know WHY you think that your choice is the best Shania special!

Well I was going to go first but it looks like Vega has beat me to the punch! LOL!
My vote is for the TOP OF THE POPS SPECIAL!
This is the best special I think! I've said this more than once already but I don't think Shania has ever looked better than she does on this special!
This special has it all! The big SHANIA sign! The excitement of the crowd! Shania's own personal commentary on each of the songs! And let us not forget all of those oh-so-sexy outfit changes!
Yep! TOP OF THE POPS is TOPS in my book! :D

It was a tough decision choosing between TOTP2 and Dallas99 but in the end I chose the TOTP special :)

That's easy!! Shania Live!!!:D:D:D:D:D that one is the bestest there is!! I have only seen the whole show once, but i think its so great and just PERFECT!! And when she sings If it dont take two:):) and she walks on the thred mill :D It's so cool!!

I picked up the Dallas Come On Over Special :) She totally rockes there!!! Awwww I love Honey Im Home, You're Still The One and all the others too :D That show is amazing!!

Yeah the Come On Over Special is very cool! (and apparently underated by the way the voting is going but thats okay) :)
I remember that the first time I saw this was also the first time I had even HEARD the song "ROCK THIS COUNTRY" let alone seen Shania perform it live! You see at that point back in the fall of 1999 I did not yet have the COO cd!
So anyway, when Shania started to sing..."I woke up this morning with a buzz rollin' round in my brain...I haven't been drinkin' but it feels kinda good just the same!"...I thought that this song "ROCK THIS COUNTRY" was just the coolest song that I had ever heard! And it instantly became my new favourite Shania song! To this day I still think that this is her best performance of "Rock This Country" ever!
And of course there is the sequence with the song "You're Still The One" where Shania is singing during afternoon rehersal and it suddenly shifts to the evening concert performance mid-song without missing a beat as the camera pans around Shania! That was so nicely done!
And the ending of this special is by far the best ending of all the specials! Even though I voted for Top Of The Pops, I still like the ending to Come On Over the best! Its that amazing fireworks finale to "I'm Outta Here" that just makes the ending to the special ROCK!

Winter Break is so neat how it starts with Shania in Timmins! She justs drives up in the ski-doo & says "Hi!"
I like all of the Timmins parts of the special! I also really like the 2 songs she does with Elton John, especially "Amneris' Letter!"
I like the fireworks, the way she works the Miami crowd, and I absolutely LOVE the outfit she wears when she sings "DON'T BE STUPID" and "I'M OUTTA HERE!"

Yeah SHANIA LIVE is pretty great Thea! And you certainly are not alone in your choice as this special is taking the majority of votes!
I like the "IF IT DON'T TAKE TWO" part as well!
And isn't it the coolest opening of all of the specials? I love it when she says..."Are you ready America?"...."I said, Are you ready America!" ........"LET'S GO AMERICA!!!" ....and then she starts singing "MAN I FEEL LIKE A WOMAN! She did that song with such energy, excitement and joy! I just love watching her smile & wave to the crowd as she's singing it! Was she ever pumped!
And yeah, the cute little cowboy who's name was Tyler! Shows how great Shania is with children doesn't it? I can imagine similar experiences between Shania & Eja now that she is a mom herself!
Of course this special has a great performance of WHOSE BED HAVE YOUR BOOTS BEEN UNDER! (my fave song) And her performance of YOU'RE STILL THE ONE has never been better I think! And finally I think she really brings the house down with her flawless, knockout performance of FROM THIS MOMENT ON!

30 votes! not too bad! Well I think its safe to say that the most popular Shania special is the Dallas 1998 SHANIA LIVE special! With 13 votes it has taken almost 44% of the total votes! It is kind of interesting to see that the other 3 specials are almost equally tied! Winter Break & Top Of The Pops are in 2nd place, both at 20% with 6 votes each! And of course Come On Over got 16% with 5 votes!
I am willing to bet that when Shania comes out with a new special after the new cd's release that all of us will have a new favourite!

Good point Razorbac! Shania Live is a 2 hour concert special while the other 3 are all less than 1 hour. This may be a factor in why it has got more votes! More Shania for your buck as the saying goes! :)

Anyway, I've only got it on DVD, and I only get to watch it very seldom, but when I do- it's worth every penny! LOVE IT! :)

There you go. That was what I was trying to say above. Like for instance the song WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T although not my fave is certainly in my top 5 favourites even though it has no video.

I voted for the Come On Over Thanksgiving Special because Shania looks great in that silver sexy space suit. I am also a football fan and it was great to see Shania punting and catching the football. And of course to see Shania with the cheerleaders. Great concert!!!
