Anthony Michael Hall, who portrayed Mutt Lange in the recent VH-1 movie, tried without success to contact the legendary producer according to an interview for hollywood.com

"I tried to contact "Mutt," but couldn't get a hold of him." Hall says.

"He's very private. Wouldn't get involved with the movie."

Hall was attracted to the Def Leppard movie because of the opportunity to play Lange, a driven perfectionist who guides Def Leppard to rock and roll super stardom.

Hall says the script for the movie was sent to Mutt for his approval and it was given.

"He's had such an impact on music, and I'm very musical. 'Mutt''s an historical guy, musically. But he's relaxed. He does what he wants. He's a great, private guy."

Well, this may be a little off topic, but I remember reading how Shania said that she didn't know who Mutt Lange was when she first starting collaborating over the phone with him. At some point she finally figured out that he was a famous producer/songwriter. I always kind of wondered when and how she finally figured it out. I realized who he was. Because he referred to a song of BRYAN ADAMS' album
WAKING UP THE NEIGHBORS and because we were kind of talking creatively over
the phone and I said, "Oh," I said, "Can you hold on a second?" I'm thinking
"Duhhh! BRYAN ADAMS!" So I ran over to my record collection and I pulled
out - yeah, and his name's all over it, writer, producer, all that stuff. I
thought, Oh my God! I was so embarrassed, you know. So I got on the phone
and I go - and I think by this time he had realized I didn't know who he
was, but here's me, trying to save face: 'Oh..yeah, yeah.. I know exactly
what you mean.. yeah, that was really good.' And I'm talking like that, as
if I knew the whole time. And I guess he just chuckled. I mean I'm sure I
made a complete fool of myself. He let me, yeah, he didn't embarrass me.

Yeah I think how they met is very neat and to go together and write and get married in six months you would have to know this is the person I am crazy about. To have a connection and know that it was more is very cool. To be able to love someone and be so creative as a team is great. Idk how they have done it and their still together and in love as much as they were in the beginning.
