Vince Gill is being inducted into the Hall of Fame, so Shania would probably like to attend this year's CMA's to be a part of this, if her schedule allows.

On the photos from the ACM Awards in May, she is seen catching up with all her fellow artists, including Vince. They both have a mutual respect for each other's work and he appeared with her at the Kennedy Center Honors 2006. I remember when she performed at the 1999 CMA's, he shouted 'that ought to shut everyone up, you did it baby'.

CMA Awards Show Will Not Spotlight Hall of Fame Inductees
Future Hall of Fame Members to Be Announced Early Each Year

Breaking with a long tradition, the CMA Awards show will no longer recognize the new inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Instead, the honorees -- who this year are Vince Gill, Mel Tillis and Ralph Emery -- will be formally inducted during invitation-only medallion ceremonies held at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Officials of the Country Music Association say there are no plans to acknowledge the inductees during the Nov. 7 awards show telecast on ABC.

"We didn't feel like we have time to give [the inductees] justice on the awards show," said a spokesperson for the CMA, whose electors choose Hall of Fame members.

In years past, the ceremony in which medallions are awarded to new inductees was held in May of the year following the formal induction. The official induction into the Hall of Fame took place during the broadcast portion of the CMA Awards. Because of the separation from the show, this year's medallion event will be held Oct. 28.

In another wrinkle, new members to the Hall of Fame will be announced early each year, possibly in January, one source said. This will enable the induction ceremony to revert to May.

I doubt she will be there.. but it would be great!

I just don't like how they treat and it's not good that they use her just to increase viewers!

We've talked a lot about how badly they treat her so I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't attend...

When Shania appeared at the 2005 CMA's in New York, she said something along the lines that she now felt accepted.

I think she says that because she's a nice person and doesn't like bad mouthing people. Also those awards you mentioned weren't in Hicksville that year and she probably felt more loved in NewYork.

I really hope that after her new album is released, she will be able to show once again that she is the best. It would be awesome to see her winning entertainer of the year again

NASHVILLE – The list of Country luminaries performing on “The 41st Annual CMA Awards” reads like a who’s who of the format’s finest and freshest faces with the announcement today that multiple nominee Alison Krauss and Horizon Award nominees Jason Aldean and Kellie Pickler have each been added to the list of performers for this year’s gala.

“The 41st Annual CMA Awards” will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) and will air live from the Sommet Center in Nashville on the ABC Television Network.

Sheryl Crow, Blake Shelton and Gretchen Wilson have been added to the list of artists presenting CMA Awards.

Krauss received four nominations in 2007 including Female Vocalist of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year for Alison Krauss and Union Station Featuring Jerry Douglas, and two for Musical Event of the Year with John Waite (his first CMA Awards nomination) on “Missing You” and with Vince Gill on “The Reason Why.” Krauss last won the Female Vocalist of the Year category in 1995. She has been nominated in the category five times including each year from 2002-2005.

Aldean and Pickler are first-time CMA Awards nominees in 2007. Both were nominated for the coveted Horizon Award. Included in the category are Rodney Atkins, Taylor Swift and Little Big Town. Aldean’s self-titled debut album was certified Platinum, and his sophomore release Relentless debuted at No. 1 on the Country sales chart in June. Pickler, an “American Idol” sweetheart, released her debut album, Small Town Girl, in October and by January, the project was certified Gold.

Performers previously announced for the 2007 CMA Awards include Atkins, Big & Rich, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Eagles, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire in a duet with LeAnn Rimes, Brad Paisley, George Strait, Sugarland, Swift, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Rascal Flatts will open the festivities and also perform with Jamie Foxx later in the broadcast.

Sara Evans and Rimes will host segments of the three-hour broadcast. Other segment hosts will be announced soon. Presenters recently announced include Luke Bryan, Jason Michael Carroll, Bucky Covington, Jewel with Ty Murray, Kid Rock, Montgomery Gentry, and Dwight Yoakam.

Tickets for the 2007 CMA Awards are on sale now and can be purchased by logging on to www.ticketmaster.com; calling (615) 255-9600; or in person at the Sommet Center box office, 501 Broadway (corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway, in Nashville). Ticket prices begin at $164 (excluding applicable service/handling fees), with prices increasing depending on seating level.
