Um dos shows da cantora será feito na arena do Parque do Peão em Barretos, onde Garth Brooks já pisou em 98. Apesar do rodeio já ter acabado, o parque será aberto especialmente para acolher o mega show da turnê 'Up!'.
A cantora só não fará seu show durante a festa, pois não haviam mais datas em sua agenda no mês de agosto, quando o Clube 'Os Independentes' comemorarão 50 anos da festa de peão de Barretos.

Hey everyone!
I've just registered, although I've been lurking around the boards for quite some time now.
Although I live in the US, I'm Brazilian. Shania has a good fan base in Brazil, but she's never been there.
Every year there's an event called "Festa do Peao de Barretos", it's one of the biggest country festivals outside the US, Alan Jackson, Reba and Garth Brooks are among the artists who already performed there. This year they're cellebrating the event's 50th anniversary, and they wanted Shania to do the openning concert. The event will happen from August 11 to August 28. However, it didn't work out. (Like she'd want to be doing concerts anywhere in August... August 12 is Eja's birthday and August 28 is her birthday) Willie Nelson will be performing instead.
Anyway, Brazilian fans were bummed out, but they understood that Shania is taking a much deserved break and all the dates issues.
But then, yesterday the website http://www.morecountry.com.br/ posted a note saying that she won't be in Barretos in August because of date issues, but to make up for that she'd be going to Brazil in October to do 2 concerts!
Brazilian fans were all very excited, but they are afraid that it might be just another rumor. They sent e-mails to the person who posted the news asking if it was true, which he replied that it is indeed true, and that Shania's team hasn't announced anything yet until the contract is signed,which according to him, should be within 2 weeks.
I don't know whether I believe it or not. The website usually is pretty reliable, and everyone is excited and worried at the same time.
What do you guys think?Is it possible that Shania might be coming to Brazil in October?
So it looks like it isn't 100% yet.

Could this mean the album is almost finished?
Could this mean she will do some more odd gigs here and there?
Could this mean she will do some shows in countries she didn't visit during the Up! Tour?

Canadian country singer Shania Twain will land in Brazil for 2 mega concerts in October of thi year. Shania will come straight from Punta Del Leste n Uruguay, quere she'll be performing at the famous Conrad Casino.
One of the singer's concerts will be held at the "Parque do Peão" arena in Barretos, where Garth Brooks has already been in 1998. Although the event (Festa do Peão) will already be finished, the place will be open specially to host the concert form the "Up!" Tour.
The singer won't perform during the event because there weren't any available dates in her schedule in August, when the group "Os Independentes" celebrate 50 years of "Festa de peão de Barretos".
Maybe it was just an minor error, but what bugs my mind is that it says "from the Up! Tour". The tour is over right?

Hmm, if it's true I think it's awesome for the Brazilian fans! But right now I'm not sure what to think of it... Why would she take the up tour to Brazil now.. in Oktober it's more than a year since the tour ended. Or Could it be 2 concerts like Chicago and London? But why?

Yes... that so strange for me! Shania has disbanded her band... the tour is over... she's working on her charity... there's no word about a new album so soon....
One of Brazilian fan club members has e-mailed the website and they told her thats really true... there will be some officcial news at the end of the month. I'll try to contact them my self ASAP.

You guys aren't reading it correctly. It says that although Shania will be unable to perform at that fair/event in August.... they will be showing a video from her Up! tour there. (Most likely Up! Live In Chicago).... She will also be performing two concerts in Brazil in October

Where did you read about showing a video from the up tour? I've been reading it over and over now... but I could have missed it because I am kinda tired
