Here is some info I found about the album.

Crow Runs 'Wild' On New Album

Sheryl Crow has named her new album "Wildflower" after a track on the album inspired by her boyfriend, championship cyclist Lance Armstrong. As previously reported, the set is due Sept. 27 via A&M/Interscope and will be led by the single "Good Is Good," which will be featured in an ad campaign for computer supplier Dell.

In addition, Crow's Web site reports she has recorded acoustic covers of James Taylor's "You Can Close Your Eyes," Willie Nelson's "Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain" and Aretha Franklin's "I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You)" for an expanded, Dual Disc edition of her "Artist's Choice" compilation via Hear Music/Starbucks.

Footage of Crow in the studio will be included on the DVD side of the album, which will be available in the fall.

As previously reported, Crow will join such acts as Paul McCartney, Wyclef Jean and Snoop Dogg on a Bee Gees tribute album, due next year via a label yet to be determined.

Does anyone know if her CD is country? I know she released a country single a few years ago, so I was wondering if she's switched over to country or not...

I love her, too!!! Just became a big fan during the Tour de France

Btw, I think Sheryl does something comparable to Shania, she crosses over here and there, but I guess she's more Rock and just does a little country every once in a while. But IF she does, it's just amazing. Check the video for "No Depression in Heaven" on CMT.com - that's MORE than Country!

Here is billboard.com review.

Her music career has lately taken a back seat to her personal life, but "Wildflower" returns Sheryl Crow to the front of the pop music pack. Such highlights as "I Know Why," a ballad broaching loneliness, point to heavier fare than her 2002 hit "Soak Up the Sun." Crow turns introspective on songs like "Perfect Lie" and gives Alison Krauss-type vocal intimacy to the title track. First single "Good Is Good" boasts a typically big melodic hook and inventive vocal phrasing, and shows the influence of George Harrison in slide guitar and strings. But "Live It Up" is the only outright rocker in a provocative, richly rewarding set reflecting love and life changes, and a philosophical world view encapsulated by closer "Where Has All the Love Gone." —Jim Bessman

I'm listening to it right know. Like it, maybe love it. There are some great songs on it. It's not really country sounding. I think Good is Good sounds the most country on the album. There are some great ballads en uptempo songs on it. Always on your side is very touching and Where has all the love gone, great. I know why, great too. Lifetimes, Live it up, great happy songs! Yeah almost love them all, expect from Chances are (I believe that was a b-side before). Love the amount of string arrangements on the album. Only thing I don't like is that she pushes her voice a bit to high on some songs.

Like her a lot, bought her Best of album this year after I heard C'mon C'mon with The Corrs. And I've been a Tour de France fan for years, so that helps too. Lance is such an amazing cycler. Wildflower is dedicated to Lance and the album is also inspirated by his kids.

I agree with you. I wasn't quit sure how I felt about it after the first listen but normally if I like a CD the first time I get tired of it quickly. The ones that take a while to get in to are usually the best, IMO. I love it now though. I think "Always On Your Side" is my favorite song. The only song I don't care for is "Chances Are." It's a very personal album and now one of my favorites.

I have been playing Sheryl,s latest album "Wildflower" since it came out a few weeks ago. It gets better every time. Just over three weeks to go now until the Hammersmith gigs. I wonder if she will be joined on stage by any special guests this time? Can,t wait.

Well last week I saw Sheryl Crow both nights at the Hammersmith Odeon. She was great and really rocked. Was anyone else there? The atmosphere was magic! During the first show Sheryl almost tripped over one of the speakers as she walked along the front of the stage. "You almost got to see me really close" she said to the fans in the front row. Sheryl also has a great stage prescence.
